Antique Mantel Clock
Antique late Victorian wood case mantel clock by Ingraham from Connecticut. This very pretty antique mantel clock has nice engravings and an adamantine finish made to look like marble. The Ingraham clock does have some ageing to the finish and looks very period.
Ingraham Clock
This Ingraham clock has quite a bit of character. Of course, the burgundy faux marble really looks pretty. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, many clock manufacturers used faux marble materials to mimic the more expensive mantel clocks from France. This allowed Victorians to purchase beautiful clocks at a fraction of the price. Also, there are lion head handles on either side and a beautiful metal face on this Ingraham clock.
The interior works of this antique mantel clock have been serviced. Thus, it keeps very good time. It rings on the half hour and strikes and counts on the hour. We pride ourselves on selling beautiful antiques in ready to go condition. We aim to have all of our merchandise in near perfect condition.
