River Thames Framed Prints
River Thames Framed Prints (two available). Beautiful and well framed prints of the River Thames for $129 each. These lovely antique prints have a beautiful brown matting and nice thick shadowbox like frame.
The script captions are written in both English and German. One reads “A View Taken near Limehouse Bridge, looking down the Thames.” The other states “A view of Blackwell, looking towards Greenwich.”
Both of the works are by G.D. Heumann and feature engraved signature on the bottom right. Georg Daniel Heumann (1691-1759) was an engraver and draftsman in Noremberg, Germany. Many of his works were published in France, Germany and England.
We believe these works to be copper engravings with color added later by the lithographer that produced them.
A wonderful set for any historic or modern home! In very good vintage condition.
