Antique Hairy Paw Empire Chest of drawers with brass hardware. This beautiful antique chest of drawers has an incredible look.
Of course, you immediately notice the depth and detail of the carved columns on either side. The chest appears to have wrapped leaves all the way around these columns. Additionally, the hairy paw feet have beautiful detail on all sides.
The chest features a small set of three drawers on top and four larger drawers. The brass knobs most likely were added to the top drawer at a later date. In fact, much of the antique dresser was restored. There are patches to the veneer in places.
However, there are still some signs of age to the chest. There is some light splitting to the top. Please see photos.
