Beautiful vintage china cabinet in Federal or Georgian style. This large breakfront has beautiful traditional details and shows good quality.
Vintage China Cabinet
Of course, the breakfront features a two piece design, with a very narrow profile. The top section features four glass doors that open to a wide display section. Inside this section, you will find thick adjustable glass shelves. Additionally, the glass shelves all have one groove for leaning plates.
Also, the bottom part of the cabinet has great storage. Four graduated drawers fill out the center section. Flanking these drawers are two spacious cabinet doors with shelf inside.
Baker Furniture
Certainly, Baker Furniture has a reputation for fine quality and beautiful design. This lovely breakfront cabinet features banded and inlaid mahogany, lovely fretwork on the arch and fine brass hardware.
That said, this china cabinet does have several flaws that should be noted. Firstly, there is a small chip to the left corner of the fretwork. Also, there is a similar chip to the top trim on the left side. On the right side of the cabinet, two dents can be seen on the side. Finally, there is an area of wear where the breakfront top and bottom meet. Unfortunately, many of these flaws most likely occured during a previous move. Please see all photos.
Despite these flaws, the china cabinet still shows well. Certainly, if you are willing to live with a few flaws, it makes a fantastic cabinet for a large dining room or office.
