Vintage Secretary Desk
Of course, this vintage secretary desk has a nice traditional design. It features a drop down slant front writing surface. When opened, the desk supports automatically extend. Also, it has four fairly deep drawers below.
Inside, when you open the desk surface, you will find lots of small curved drawers and cubbies for pens, small clips, letters and other desk accessories.
Additionally, the desk has a pretty blockfront or Goddard style drawers. In other words, the drawers have a beautiful undulating shape that mimics 18th century design.
Cherry Secretary Desk
This vintage cherry secretary desk shows good vintage condition, but does have some signs of age and use. It has some minor scratches to the top, the desk surface and other light blemishes here and there.
We polished the solid brass hardware and waxed the desk to preserve the pretty cherry color and finish.
Monitor Furniture made very nice cherry wood furniture in the Jamestown, New York region. This desk likely dates to the 1950s.
