Certainly, this antique dresser is desirable because of the beautiful wood tones of the mahogany. It has a really pretty “book matched” veneer across the front. Of course, this gives it a lot of movement and depth.
Additionally, this chest of drawers has the original key holes with small molding around them. On the sides of the chest, you will find bits of decorative molding that give the chest a bit more presence. Finally, the chest of drawers has beautiful crystal knobs that appear to be original to the chest.
Mahogany Dresser with Glass Knobs
We refinished this mahogany dresser in order to bring out the beauty of the old mahogany. Since it is from the mid to late 1800s, it does have a few signs of age. However, it shows very nicely and has a rich, elegant look.
