Very nice antique oil painting on board in a gilded period frame. This piece is unsigned but demonstrates considerable skill and talent. The brush strokes are fine, and the sense of perspective is very well rendered.
The scene appears to be from New England, possibly the Hudson River and has some mountains in the background. The painting has aged beautifully, with a little bit of light cracking of the varnish, but otherwise is in very good condition.
