Bartley Collection Mahogany Blockfront Chest
Bartley Collection Mahogany Blockfront Chest made as a replica from a genuine antique in the Henry Ford Museum. This stunning blockfront chest has incredible style and such beautiful mahogany grain!
You can find the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Henry Ford, the wealthy and powerful industrialist, started collecting Americana and antiques for years before he founded his namesake museum. It has since grown to attract thousands of visitors a year!
This chest replicates many of the incredible features of fine furniture from the Federal period. The block front of the drawers echos Samuel Goddard’s famous Rhode Island pieces, but they also could be found in Massachusetts and other parts of New England.
Our lovely Bartley collection chest has nice dovetailed joints and beautiful brass hardware. The tall ogee feet are also quite lovely.
Of course, we refinished the chest so that it truly can be enjoyed for many more years to come! Please stop in and see the chest if you have interest. It is quite a handsome piece for a bedroom, living room or hallway.
