Beals Maple Secretary Desk
Beals Maple Secretary Desk with slant front desk. This beautiful rock maple desk has four drawers as well. Of course it makes it a nice storage piece as well as a useful writing surface.
The Portland, Maine furniture company, Beals, made this lovely desk in probably the 1970’s. The case is nicely joined and all of the drawers have dovetailed joints. The drawers also have wooden dust covers in between the drawers, another sign of quality craftsmanship. Also, the desk is finished with solid brass hardware. Of course, it includes the original key as well.
The slant front desk is in good vintage condition with a few light signs of wear. We see some light wear to the top of the desk and to the writing surface. Please see photos.
