Antique Jewelry Chest
Beautiful solid mahogany antique jewelry chest with side-locking chest of drawers. This narrow chest was most likely used to store precious silverware within. It has columns on either side, one of which locks to prevent all five of the drawers from opening.
This antique jewelry chest piece was made in the early 1910’s and is very reminiscent of Feldenkreis furniture. It has ball and claw feet, rope carving around the top and bottom and block-front drawers. The top drawer has incredible concave and convex shell carving. This piece also has a beautiful mahogany gallery around the top. A gorgeous addition to any dining room or bedroom.
This antique chest could also be used as an antique silverware chest. It has been beautifully restored and refinished. One piece of hardware on the bottom drawer appears to have been replaced at some point.
