Large Original Oil on Canvas by Kirk D. Denney. This beautiful work of art has incredible scale and color. It measures 7 ft 7″ in height!
This oil on canvas is signed by the artist on the front bottom right corner. On the reverse, the artist has written in pencil “In the style of “CARMICHAEL” by Kirk D. Denney.” The painter is referring to Franklin Carmichael (1890-1945), an artist who lived in Ontario and was very inspired by the Canadian landscape.
Denney’s version of a landscape shows much of Carmichael’s technique and style. The landscape features very vivid colors – orange, yellow, blue, peach, green all mingle very nicely on this large canvas.
Kirk D. Denney continues to paint today from his Nashville, Tennessee home. He creates custom artwork to each clients specifications, and frequently does commissions for commercial and residential spaces.
This large painting no doubt hung in an impressive foyer, two story living room or maybe even in a lodge or hotel. The very lively expression of an autumn landscape has an incredible vivacity and spirit!
The painting shows very good vintage condition. The frame shows a bit of wear (especially on the side of the frame). Please see photos. However, these signs of light distressing to the frame do not detract from the artwork.
