Nichols and Stone Wheat Back Dining Chairs
Nichols and Stone Wheat Back dining chairs, four available. Beautiful solid birch and maple (marked New England Hardwoods) chairs with a simple, yet elegant style. The rungs of the back of the chair swoop upwards in the style of a gathered sheaf of wheat. The legs are joined by stretchers, enhancing the strength and structure of the chairs.
These four dining chairs are priced at $249 each. We also currently have the captain (arms) chairs and table with one board. Marked “Nichols and Stone Gardner Mass”, these chairs are also dated 1993.
Nichols and Stone makes terrific, stylish furniture and has been a name of quality for over 150 years. In fact, they are one of the oldest furniture builders in the United States. Nichols and Stone still produces great solid wood furniture in their workshops in Massachusetts, but this style of chair does not seem to still be in production.
