Beautiful and Impressive large vintage armoire, made in the French style. This lovely painted buffet features lovely soft decorations and has great storage and display.
Vintage Armoire
This nice vintage armoire comes in two pieces. The base, which has a lovely bombe shape, features three large drawers. The top half of the armoire has two large wooded doors. Inside, you will find a series of smaller drawers and niches for display. (We have ordered new glass shelves for these niches, which are on the way.)
The armoire has a pale green body, with darling roses and sprays of leaves painted across the entire surface. The lightness of the painting gives the imposing armoire a decidedly feminine design, perfect for a bedroom, breakfast room, or living room.
Painted French Style Armoire
This painted French style armoire has a lovely design and beautiful look. It also has a very solid construction, with oak secondary wood. Each piece of the armoire is quite heavy and solid.
That said, it does have some damage to the painted surfaces. To preserve the charm and beauty of the armoire, we coated the entire surface of armoire with a clear glue. This really helped to guard the flaking paint from further damage. So, it does have a bit of a shabby-chic appearance, where there are some signs of age and use.
