Description
Beautiful vintage dining table in beautiful Federal style. This lovely mahogany dining table has three leaves and beautiful details.
Vintage Dining Table
Of course, this vintage dining table has an unique design. Firstly, it has a rounded rectangle shape. Also, the table features two legs in each corner. Additionally, it has a center double leg in the center for support.
This center leg system helps to support the three table leaves (two of which have the continuous apron and one which does not).
The table has a lovely apron and line inlay that continues around the table. It also has a small but beautiful banded border around the top. Of course, it has lovely spade shaped legs that also feature line inlay.
Federal Style Table
Certainly, this table has all of the hallmarks of an early Federal style table. It has a simple, yet elegant look, with clean lines and unfussy details.
Additionally, the tall straight legs and spade feet give a nod to early Federal pieces.
The table would be beautiful with many different styles of chairs. Shield back chairs, Hepplewhite Chairs or upholstered parson’s chairs would be very lovely with this table.
We refinished this table in order to bring back the luster and depth of the mahogany wood. It has a small area of damage on one corner of the table where inlay is missing. Please see photos.
