Vintage French Style Desk
This lovely vintage French Style desk features a “bureau plat” or flat desk style design. Of course, this is often a useful and popular desk type for those who like a large surface to spread out on.
The desk has lovely Cabriole legs. Also, it has a beautifully crafted banded and inlaid top. The top is divided into three main sections, delineated by the gold-colored satinwood inlay.
Of course, the desk also has three drawers that echo the divisions in the top. The two outer drawers have a gentle bowed shape and swoop that extends to the desk legs.
The center drawer features a lock and elegant key.
Inlaid French Desk
The inlaid French desk shows very well for its age. The warm walnut and fruit woods show very well.
That said, there is a small chip on the underside of the desk, near the center drawer. Please see photos.
