Nice vintage highboy in solid cherry by the Statton Furniture Company. This stately highboy chest of drawers has a great look and shows excellent quality.
Vintage Highboy Chest of Drawers
Certainly, this vintage highboy chest of drawers has a lot of elegant features reminiscent of 18th century furniture design. Firstly, the chest features tall Queen Anne style legs. Also, the chest has a beautiful and symmetrical drawer layout, with a mix of smaller and deeper graduated drawers. Also, two of the drawers have a beautiful, intricate shell carving across their fronts.
The highboy chest of drawers also has a full solid wood bonnet, which makes the highboy look substantial from all angles.
Also, the chest of drawers has brass hardware.
Finally, the Queen Chest of Drawers has three spiral style finials.
Statton Furniture Company
The Statton Furniture Company made this style highboy in circa 1990 for their esteemed “Private Collection.” It shows very good vintage condition and is marked “old Towne” finish on the back. That said, there is a bit of fading on the left side of the chest. Also, there may be light signs of age and use.
