Of course, this Antique marble top buffet has four great deep drawers and one cabinet door. Inside the cabinet door, you will find one removable shelf.
The buffet features solid oak wood and has unique Renaissance style hardware. It also has beautiful Barley Twist style columns on either side.
Oak Buffet with Marble Top
Certainly, this oak buffet with marble top has a great look and would be very nice in a dining room or as an accent piece in a large living room.
We refinished the oak base in order to restore the lovely oak wood. We are not completely sure if the marble is original to the piece. Also, the marble has a few small holes in the back, suggesting perhaps there was some type of metal or wood gallery on the piece at some point.
While this buffet has great construction, dovetailing, paneled back and sides, we don’t exactly know the date it was built. We believe it to be an early 20th century piece, possibly English or Continental. It shows well and has a great look. That said, it has a small bit of damage to the right corner, beneath the marble. It is not immediately visible because of the marble top.
