Of course, this vintage oil painting features a beautiful traditional subject of a vase of flowers. Obviously, the vase contains roses, irises, tulips and carnations and sits on a dark ground.
Additionally, the artist has included additional textures, like glass and wood to really capture the sumptuous textures.
The painting is a work done on board and it features a traditional high gloss varnish. Also, it has a beautiful gilded frame.
Lawrence Backer Artwork
Artist and teacher, Lawrence Baker (1930-2004), focused on achieving a traditional realism style that really brought to life his subjects. Many of his other works involve florals and landscapes.
This Lawrence Backer Artwork is in very good vintage condition. It has a beautiful gilt wood frame. Also, the painting is protected by a thick layer of varnish. (Which also gives it an old world look.)
