Vintage Tilt Top Table
Beautiful mahogany piecrust vintage tilt top table from circa 1900-1920. This lovely vintage tilt top table has a beautiful book-matched veneer, lovely snake foot feet, and a piecrust edge. Indeed, we love to see a vintage tilt top table in a traditional or historic home.
Tilt Top Table
A tilt top table allows the owner to place the table top horizontally or vertically, in order to save space. This particular tilt top table looks beautiful in either direction. It has been decorated with an outstanding mahogany veneer. It also has a very interesting edge. Of course, many people refer to the scallops on this table top as a “piecrust edge.”
Historic homes often used tilt top tables for serving purposes. This antique side table has between eight and one hundred years of age, but has benefited from a restoration. Our restoration team really brought this occasional table back to life with a little work. Obviously, the beautiful satiny finish enhances the warm tones of the mahogany wood.
Very nice for a formal living or dining room. These types of tables can even be used as small lunch tables when company comes. The can be very handy!
